Chapter Three

Purging and moving

I am hoping to move sometime this summer.  I haven't found a new place yet, but I am starting the search soon.  I do like where I live now - but it has been 9 years (!) and I am ready for a change.  I have been sorting and purging my stuff.   I have a lot of stuff. Too much.

I love my stuff, but I want to downsize it.  I want to keep only what I truly love, need and use.

My place is too big and too expensive. Staying at this hotel was an experiment in living in a small space.  

I don't want quite this small.  But I want something that is easier to clean, stay organized and convenient.  I also need space for my boys but yet I must  keep in my mind that someday I will have an empty nest.   

Smooth sailing

This is a nearby park that we go to often.  It is a beautiful spot.  So far this summer has been cool and wet, but I don't mind the cool part.  It will be hot soon enough. 

I have been working on cleaning out my closets.  I want to downsize everything!

Simplify is the word for the summer.

I got flowers for Mother's Day

I finished classes and took myself to a hotel for a quiet weekend with room service

Read books - Bliss!

And drank coffee 

It is finally summer like around here...

But I am thinking of those who are having weather disasters such as my brother's town in ND and those in OK. 

It is May Day and it is still snowing...

I am thinking about downsizing and moving...

Making lists and trying to come up with a new plan...

Finishing up...

I just finished up my library internship today.  It was at  my local library where I have worked before. It was a very good learning experience and I felt like a real librarian!  Now to finish up the semester.  I got my latest Olive Box today!  And we have finally had some sunshine!

It was tough getting out of bed today.

It has been rainy and gloomy.

Nice to be able to sleep in...

even though we lost an hour.

And another round of snow

The kids actually got a snow day this week.  It is a rare occurence even with a foot of snow.  It really depends on when the snow fall happens - how much it will interfere with traffic. 

I had a really busy week scheduled.  But then I fell in the snow and slipped on the ice underneath.  I twisted my knee and have been layed up for the rest of the week.  

 

I usually don't mind winter, but this year it seems extra long.

 

 

The fish houses had to come off the lakes this week.

But somebody left theirs in the parking lot.

This is Maeve Binchey's last book.  She finished it right before she passed away.  I can't wait until I have time to read it.  Some more papers due this weekend.
